Musings from the match
• Jason Porplyzia has continued with his accurate goal kicking, with three extra goals for the night and has now kicked 15 goals straight for the season.
• Port Adelaide dominated the clearances 42 – 22. Peter Burgoyne had 8, but was not effective anywhere else for the night despite collecting 24 touches.
• The Power also dominated hit outs 44 – 17 with the experience of Dean Brogan and Brendan Lade showing against Kurt Tippet.
• Both teams had the same amount of inside 50’s (50 apiece), but Port were able to convert better.
• Sam Newman stated on the Footy Show this week, that if the showdown in Adelaide managed to get a crowd of more than 40,000, he would strip down to a g-string, allow the public to tar and feather him, and walk down Rundle Mall (Adelaide). The crowd at AAMI Stadium was 41,558. Look out Adelaide because Gary Lyon and James Brayshaw are sure to certain to collect on that bet!

Hamish Hartlett (Port) was complaining of hamstring soreness, so keep an eye on him
Chad and Kane Cornes – You must have one of these two brothers in your team, if you have both even better. Both guys are having consistent and effective years for the Power and are definitely captain material!
