Geelong is again back on the winners list after a 46 point victory of a gallant Melbourne team. The Cats kicked off their 150 years celebration with a good return to some form with players like Ablett and Scarlett returning to the side. In windy conditions at Skilled Stadium the Cats coasted to victory after an impressive first quarter. The Cats tried some new things in the game for example Tom Hawkins in the ruck. The only concern is that the Cats did not dominant their opponent like they may have in previous years.
