Last rounds tips started brilliantly before finishing poorly but we came out ahead to the tune of $51 which is acceptable in my books.

Carlton vs. Geelong
Geelong’s depth vs. Carlton has me thinking this game will be closer than it would have otherwise been. Those of you who think Geelong’s indifferent form is reason enough to back Carlton will be pleased to see their odds at $4.20 but I’m going to stick with the Cats, as much as it pains me to do so.

Western Bulldogs vs. West Coast
West Coast clearly want to win and like Geelong, the Bulldogs aren’t in the greatest form so this game is going to be a lot closer than the $10.35 odds the bookies are providing for a West Coast win. Despite this I can’t see the Bulldogs losing so I’ll be looking at a line bet again, with West Coast to beat the 46.5 points offered.

Hawthorn vs. St Kilda
Injuries/Rested Players/Changes- whatever you want to call it, St Kilda aren’t going into this clash at full strength, but of the replacements only Jack Steven hasn’t played a game this year and I am loath to tip against a team that has won 18 straight- especially when they are offering $2.35 odds.

Essendon vs. Brisbane
Both teams are coming off disappointing results last week and will be looking to rebound in this game. Essendon have made 5 changes of which unfortunately 3 were forced, whilst Brisbane have made 3 bringing back names such as Bradshaw for this important clash.
I’m tipping Brisbane to be comfortable winners here, as Essendon seems to have lost its way a bit.

Adelaide vs. Collingwood
I really rate Adelaide and they seem to have learnt a lot from their loss to St Kilda a few weeks ago, I struggle to get a gauge of Collingwood however so will be going for nothing more than the Adelaide win.

North Melbourne vs. Melbourne
Whilst I don’t think Melbourne tanked last week, they really don’t seem that fussed by a loss (players aside). North for mine just have that little bit more talent but it won’t be a blow out.

Richmond vs. Sydney
IT IS absurd that Sydney isn’t favorites for this clash after their effort last week! Richmond may be showing okay patches but the discipline and approach of Sydney will account for Richmond this week.
$10 Recommended bet: Sydney for the win at $1.98
Fremantle vs. Port Adelaide
The only reason I can see to tip Fremantle in this game is if you think the home ground advantage will make a difference. Personally I can’t see Port missing this opportunity to further lock up a top 8 position.
For a bit more value than the $1.53 odds provided by the win, I’ll be looking at a margin bet.
