Carlton captain Chris Judd has won the clubs John Nicholls (Best and Fairest) at the Blues club awards last night at Crown Palladium. Judd finished on 558 votes clear of fellow midfielders Marc Murphy (451), Bryce Gibbs (415) and forward Brendan Fevola (390).
This award means that Judd has not only won back to back Carlton best and fairest’s but also won 4 best and fairest awards in total (2 with Carlton and 2 with West Coast). He was presented the John Nicholls Medal, by John Nicholls himself who has won the Blues best and Fairest 5 times.
Judd played in all of Carltons 23 games this season (including one finals match), he collected over 600 disposals on top of 102 tackles and 137 inside 50s for the year. He also averaged 13.6 kicks, 12.7 handballs and 2.4 marks each match.
This award caps off yet another stellar season for Chris Judd, who came runner up in the 2009 Brownlow Medal with 22 votes, 8 votes behind Gary Ablett.
