In order for you all to be able to view the latest updates you will need to refresh the page (this can be easily done by pressing F5 on your keyboard). The AFL Premiership Cup is in the hands of the worthy winners, Geelong. Fantastic win to the cats. The celebration and fanfare ensue. As Meat Loaf would say; two out of three aint bad. Mooney is listening to Harley’s speech and touching himself, interesting. Mark Thompson’s quote of the day “It’s good to come out victories… arr victors.” Ling is super happy, as he should be. Corey Enright was alright today, not really in his All-Australian form. Rooke was good too, especially floating back in defense. Hawkins has his red undies hanging out on the podium. Only person on the Geelong team for this to be a first their Grand Final Mooney’s 30th Birthday couldn’t be any sweeter. Steve Johnson – Barely had a touch, especially in the first half. Joel Selwood was good today too, not at his best, but steady as ever. Riewoldt was stopped well today by Harry Taylor. Full credit to him. Paul Chapman wins the Norm Smith whilst carrying a possible hamstring injury. It’s okay Ablett, I think you can settle with just the premiership Nick Riewoldt is still exhausted and shattered. “bottle this feeling and use it”. Presentations are starting now. Who do we think will get the Norm Smith? ContestedFooty can’t decide. Saints look devastated as you can expect. Geelong naturally look stoked (pun intended). It was a fantastic game and there is always disappointed players and fans, unfortunately for the Saints it was them yet again. 2 from 3 for the Cats. Q4 07:30 - Ablett is on the phone to… well… nobody. It showed him on the phone and nobody in the coaches box was talking into a phone… Ordering pizza? Q3 31:00 - Momentum going Geelong way but siren beats them to mark end of third quarter
———————————————————————————————–
St Kilda 9.14.(68) Geelong 12.8.(80)
Q4 28:20 - Scarlett rushes a behind cleverly, Cats by 6.
Q4 28:00 - The Cats just need to stop the game now, and they are doing that so far.
Q4 26:25- Rooke kicks a behind off the ground! It could be all over now folks…
Q4 25:30 - Saints are desperately trying to get the ball forward…

Q4 21:22 - Selwood gets an uncontested mark in the forward 50 but kicks it left and scores are level at 67 a piece.

Q4 18:25 - Its tough stuff here. Milne kicked it to Reiwoldt who couldn’t take the mark after possibly being pulled down in the contest. Geelong rebound.

Q4 13:55 - Jason Blake walks it out under very little pressure… deliberate?
Q4 12:45 - A series of stoppages in the St kilda forward line right now.
Q4 11:28 - Clever work from Clarke to get the ball to his teams advantage but it only sees the ball go out on the full with the next possession.
Q4 10:00 - Schneider takes a mark and then takes off Harley, kicks it to the right and gets another behind.
Q4 07:12 - Kosi takes a great mark on the wing and kicks it long forward. Nothing results and the game ensures.
Q4 07:00 - The umpires aren’t going to pay anything this quarter. St Kilda are just throwing the ball on the boot to keep it out of their backline.
Q4 05:05 - Ablett tries to break another tackle, gets slowed up but gets the handball off. The ball goes forward but out of bounds, and we have another throw in.
Q4 03:37 - The game has opened up a little bit and some players are finding some space.
Q4 01:10 - Chappy kicks it into the forward line and Hawkins marks above his head. He kicks his “Second” and its actually legitimate this time.
Q4 00:00 - So the final quarter of 2009 is about to begin, it comes down to this. Saints by 7 at this stage, can they hold up under the pressure of the Premiership?
St Kilda 9.11.(65) Geelong 9.4.(58)
Q3 29:18 - Montagna snaps from pocket to take Saints into the lead
Q3 28:10 - Goddard has the Judd/Lord Voldemort look now except with hair
Q3 27:18 - Major screw up by St Kilda defence almost lets Geelong take lead
Q3 25:35 - Wojcinski kicks on goal doesn’t make distance and goes out of bounds in Geelong forward pocket

Q3 22:08 - Gardner uses soccer skills to kick from wing to half forward flank, out of bounds but good results for Saints

Q3 02:30 - Mooney kicks into goal space, point scored instead
Q3 00:00 - Chapman moved to full forward to see if he can change things up (perhaps rest hamstring)
Q2 30:15 - Heavy footy, it looks like it’s hard to kick. Kosi goals after a marking contest. The ball went to ground behind the pack and Kosi kicked it off the ground.
Q2 29:00 - Its a hot footy out there in St Kilda’s forward line. Jones goals from nothing. Threw it on his foot and it went through the big sticks. Saints get some reward for their work.
Q2 27:00 - Rain has started coming down harder, who would have thought. Free kick against Steven King in the ruck contest in the Saint’s forward line.
Q2 25:03 - Chappy scores from outside 50m.
Q2 23:53 - Hawkins smothers Dawson’s kick and kicks an inspiring goal and the Cats are in front. Looks like it hit the post.

Q2 20:35 - Riewoldt has excellent handball to Gram who misses the goal. Rain is quite heavy now. Balanced scoreline. Saints have been the better team this quarter. They need another goal to get just rewards.
Q2 19:30 - Ablett gets a free for a hold in the forward line. He goals, Geelong in front at one. That is evidence to enough for me that you should rest gun midfielders in the forward line. He is pretty good on the lead.
Q2 16:12 - Schneider misses again. Snap across the face for a point. Saints need to make better use of their dominance of this period of the game. Small forwards need to step up and mop up after they bomb it in. They need to either isolate Riewoldt or not kick it to him when there are three players on him. Geelong know where the Saints are going to kick it.
Q2 14:30 – Chapman is out of the rooms; I suppose he has had a magical injection and will continue.

Q2 05:15 - Ablett gets a free kick straight in front 50m out and he shanks it directly to Fisher
