David Rodan requires knee reconstruction

Port Adelaide’s David Rodan will require a knee reconstruction on his left knee, after injuring it at training this morning.

At Port Adelaide’s training session this morning Rodan hurt his left knee, which was believed would require a knee reconstruction. After scans on his knee it was confirmed that he had injured his left anterior cruciate ligament and will require a knee reconstruction, causing him to miss all of the Powers 2010 season.

In 2005 when Rodan played for Richmond he injured his right knee and had to have a reconstruction, which saw him spend the entire 2005 season on the sidelines recovering.
It is a loss for Port Adelaide and disappointing for Rodan, who played 19 matches this year and lead his team mates in clearances and was third in hard ball gets and handballs.
