Essendon’s Nathan Lovett-Murray today had his drug possession charges dropped, as he appeared in court to confront charges of possession of a drug of dependence.
In August of this year, Lovett-Murray was charged by Police for being in possession of a drug and while driving without a license. It was confirmed at that time, that the Police had found an ecstasy tablet in his home, after a raid on his property.
Today, while in court facing his charges, all drug charges were completely withdrawn and his name was cleared of any criminal offences.
Essendon’s General Manager of Football, Paul Hamilton spoke on behalf of Lovett-Murray and said that he respects the decision made and would like to thank everyone who supported him throughout the incident.
