Carlton Football Club signs Mars as new sponsors

Today at Carlton’s new Visy Park training facilities, the clubs Chief Executive Greg Swan announced that the club has signed a sponsorship deal with confectionary leaders Mars.

The sponsorship deal is a multi-million dollar agreement which sees Mars’ name appear on the Carlton Football Clubs guernsey for the next 3 seasons (2010-2012).

Carlton has previously had a sponsorship deal with Mars, where in 1997 the Blues wore a bright blue Guernsey for one match, in order to help Mars promote the launch of their new confectionery Blue M&Ms.

Mars, now joins Hyundai as the Carlton Football Clubs joint naming rights sponsor and replaces the clubs previous sponsorship deal with Tourism Malaysia, which fell through due to the country’s change of government.
