  • Second-third round draft pick

Tom Curran in detail

Tom Curran is a genuine key forward from the Oakleigh Chargers and a possible father-son draft pick for the Hawthorn Football Club.

Hawthorn is yet to commit to the prospect of drafting Curran and a poor championship series probably didn’t help. That’s not to say Curran disgraced himself or anything, its just that when you share a forward line with Jonathon Patton, you have to make due with the scraps.

Curran like his old man is known for his marking ability and although we didn’t get to see much of it at the U18 Championships, let me assure you he can take a good mark.

I have Curran going late second round at this point (most likely to Hawthorn) as 195cm genuine key forwards don’t grow on trees.
