Jaeger O’Meara in detail

Jaeger O’Meara is technically ineligible for the draft this year but thanks to the GWS mini-draft recruiters across Australia are able to get excited by this future star this year instead of next.

If O’Meara were in this years full draft I’d have him in my top 5 as he has been that impressive this year. This puts GWS in the enviable position of fielding offers from every other club.

O’Meara has a great combination of attributes, he has explosive pace over 20 meters, great endurance, Good vision and an ability to dispose of the ball with both sides of his body. This combination allows O’Meara to look a cut above the midfielders around him and when you go as hard as O’Meara does that skill set is invaluable.

Why cant he play until 2013?

  2. Paracleet says:

GWS can’t pick him this year, or they would. The only way they could keep him in play for next years draft would be to only give out one pick in the mini draft this year and hope the club that gets it uses it on another player. And then they would have to finish last to make sure. O’Meara will not play for GWS.
