Carlton’s Marc Murphy has been awarded the John Nicholls Medal the best and fairest player for the Blues in 2011. Murphy finished on 678 votes ahead of Chris Judd (469) and Bryce Gibbs (448).
Murphy was one of the Blues best players this year leading the club in kicks and disposals. He played in all 22 games for the year and averaged 16 kicks, 13 handballs, 29 disposals and 5 marks.
