Western Bulldog Matthew Boyd has been awarded the Charles Sutton Medal as the best and fairest player for the Bulldogs in 2011. Boyd finished on 140 votes, ahead of Robert Murphy (130) and Ryan Griffen (99).
Boyd was the Bulldogs stand out player this year, leading his club in kicks, overall disposals and clearances. He played in all 22 games this year and averaged 32 disposals, 18 kicks, 14 handballs, 4 marks and 5 tackles.
