Best Supercoach Team – Round 20 2010

Monday, August 16th, 2010

This week saw two massive scores, and Nick Riewoldt (171) was very unlucky to be beaten to the captaincy. The man to steal that honour was Shane Mumford (175) who racked up the points in the Swans win over Fremantle at Subiaco. (more…)

Best Supercoach Team – Round 19 2010

Tuesday, August 10th, 2010

With week one of SuperCoach Finals done and dusted, we had some pretty good scores come out, with the highest score being 178 and the lowest being 115.

For the first time this season Kieren Jack (178) is captain after a massive game for the Swans, against the Swans where he dominated in the midfield. (more…)

Best Supercoach Team – Round 18 2010

Monday, August 2nd, 2010

In comparison to some other weeks, this week’s score was a little disappointing. Still, it is more than anybody actually scored so we can’t really complain that much. For the second week running Dane Swan (152) is captain as he continues his fine form. (more…)

Best Supercoach Team – Round 17 2010

Monday, July 26th, 2010

This week all eyes will be on the big scores in the midfield with Dane Swan (190) taking out the captaincy honours. As usual there is someone unlucky not to have that honour, and this week it was Joel Selwood (175) who also managed to head home with leather poisoning. (more…)

Best Supercoach Team – Round 16 2010

Tuesday, July 20th, 2010

Well this is probably one of the bigger team scores of the year, and if my calculations are correct this week then the team actually falls below the original Salary Cap of $10,000,000. The forward line was saved by the one massive score, which we will get into later, because other than this teams captain it was pretty disappointing area of the team.

Essendon vs West Coast – Round 16 Match Review

Monday, July 19th, 2010

Essendon – 14.16 (100)
West Coast – 20.12 (132)

West Coast has been led to its first win in 8 weeks thanks to a spectacular 12 goal haul from forward Mark LeCras. The first quarter was fairly close, with LeCras kicking all of West Coast’s four goals, as the Eagles took a three point lead at the first change. They simply kept stretching the lead at each break, as LeCras continued to add goals to his tally, eventually running out to a 32 point victory. (more…)

Best Supercoach Team – Round 15 2010

Monday, July 12th, 2010

There were some great scores from cheaper players this round with guys like Ricky Henderson (136) from the crows and Adam McPhee (173) both performing well. Naturally there were good scores from some of the premiums as well with Brian Lake (162), Jimmy Bartel (156), Joel Selwood (144), Matthew Boyd (140) and Chris Judd (140) all also managing good scores. Best Supercoach Team – Round 14 2010

Monday, July 5th, 2010

There were plenty of 150+ scores this week, and they were fairly well spread across all of the positions. Brian Lake (156) represents the defenders on his own, but Dane Swan (163), Leigh Montagna (155), Scott Thompson (155), and Kade Simpson (151) all represent the midfielders, while Cyril Rioli (159) and Kurt Tippett (153) represent the forwards. Carlton vs Brisbane – Round 14 Match Review

Thursday, July 1st, 2010

Carlton – 18.12 (120)
Brisbane – 9.11 (65)

Carlton has stunned Brisbane in the Thursday night showdown. It all started well for the Lions as they lead by 13 points at the first break, but it didn’t take long for the Blues to revive themselves and they turned the game on its head in the second to burst out to a 20 lead just a quarter later. Best Supercoach Team – Round 13 2010

Monday, June 28th, 2010

As usual Lance Franklin (159) ran riot against the Bombers two weeks ago, earning him a spot as this week’s skipper. Buddy was simply spectacular and arguably won the Hawks the game in the last quarter with his two running goals. Brent Harvey (152) of the Kangaroos was close behind him as the only other forward to score above 150.
