Richmond vs. Adelaide – Round 18 Match Preview

Thursday, July 29th, 2010

SportsBet Odds: $2.42 vs. $1.57

15th vs. 10th

This match should be one of the games of the round on paper, both Richmond and Adelaide have had a poor start to the season but have jumped back on their feet over the past 5-6 weeks.

This match is more important to the Crows as a win will put them within reach of finals, however it will not secure them a spot. For the Tigers a win will put them another game clear of the Eagles in 16th spot on the ladder and put pressure on them to perform if they want to avoid it. (more…)

Port Adelaide vs. Adelaide – Round 17 Match Review

Monday, July 26th, 2010

Port Adelaide – 13.10 (88)
Adelaide – 9.15 (69)

For all but Port Adelaide supporters this was a rather lackluster derby until the final quarter when Adelaide decided to kick into gear and give the Power a scare. The damage however was already done as Port Adelaide recorded a rather comfortable 19 point victory. (more…)

Adelaide vs. Geelong – Round 16 Match Review

Friday, July 16th, 2010

Adelaide– 11.8 (74)
Geelong – 9.9 (63)

In a very scrappy encounter at AAMI stadium Adelaide has upset Geelong by 11 points and in doing so has kept their 2010 finals campaign alive. Adelaide won the contested ball and was able to use it more effectively going into the forward 50. Geelong looked good in the first quarter but Adelaide always looked in the contest. (more…)

Adelaide vs Essendon – Round 14 Match Review

Sunday, July 4th, 2010

Adelaide – 19.10 (124)
Essendon – 5.10 (40)

Adelaide has comprehensively taken care of a lacklustre Essendon side on Saturday night. The Crows dominated large portions of the match and extended their lead at ever change. They looked like a very different side from the one we were seeing at the start of the year. Their run from half back was fantastic, they dominated the corridor, and they hit targets going forward, eventually leading to an 84 point smashing. (more…)

Adelaide vs Essendon – Round 14 Match Preview

Thursday, July 1st, 2010

SportsBet Odds: $1.65 vs $2.25

10th vs. 14th

This shapes up as an important game for both sides. If the Crows can get on top and take home the points then they will draw level with the Bombers on points, but if they lose they fall behind the eight ball again. Essendon don’t travel very often this year so winning these interstate games is important, especially when they are fighting to keep their season alive. (more…)

Adelaide vs. Melbourne – Round 13 Match Review

Adelaide– 16.21 (117)
Melbourne – 11.7 (73)

Melbourne were deplorable. They do not break their curse of 9 years of losses at AAMI. Frankly the score line flatters Melbourne who were beaten from pillar to post in the first half and should have been far more behind than they were. This was due to some woeful kicking in front of goal by Adelaide. (more…)
