2nd-4th All the hype this year belongs to the Bulldogs this pre-season going by reports. The recruitment of Hall is seen by many to be the final step needed to become a likely flag candidate.

For me, the Bulldogs are right along the edge, with a reliance on the like of Johnson, Akermanis and now Hall in the forward half, it’s a bit worrying. Having said that, Johnson and Akermanis have been managed brilliantly.
The age of those players can be seen as a positive for this year in a way though. It could very well be their last chance for a chance at a flag with those 3 in the team, and the whole club will most likely know it.

They no doubt can win the flag, but it’s all depending on the impact of Hall and the other oldies.

Western Bulldogs vs. Adelaide – Round 5 Match Review

The Western Bulldogs have prevented Adelaide from achieving their first win of the season after defeating them by 49 points at Etihad Stadium. The Crows looked to have started out the better team and were able to match the Dogs, and lead at quarter time. However in the second term the Bulldogs began to dominate and took a 3 goal lead into main break. From then on they never looked back and stretched their lead after half time, to come out winners and bring their win-loss ratio to 3-2 leaving the Crows at 0-5. (more…)
